A quiet evening over Lough Neagh, painted from the changing colours and atmosphere of the water at dusk.

Built up with layers of oil paint, I’ve kept the brushwork loose and textured, allowing the soft peach and warm orange of the fading light to sit against the cooler blue-grey water and sky.

This is part of my ongoing collection of paintings inspired by Lough Neagh - a place I return to again and again for its ever-changing light and expansive skies.
