Portrush – East Strand is an atmospheric coastal landscape print from my North Coast series, inspired by the wide shoreline and shifting light along East Strand in Portrush, Northern Ireland.

The composition looks across the beach with the town sitting low on the horizon- its familiar line of buildings softened and simplified, allowing them to settle into the wider rhythm of sea and sky rather than dominate the scene.

Broad, layered brushstrokes capture the movement of water across the shore, with muted blues, soft greens, and sandy tones shifting under changing light. The foreground feels textured and active, while the distance remains calmer, creating a balance between motion and stillness.
