Salt Wind, Open Shore – Mussenden Temple is an expressive coastal landscape print from my North Coast series, inspired by the iconic cliffs and shoreline below Mussenden Temple on Northern Ireland’s north coast.

Viewed from the beach below, the composition is anchored by the cliff face, with the temple sitting small and slightly off-centre-present, but not dominant. This allows the movement of land, sea, and sky to take focus, capturing the feeling of standing in an open, exposed place shaped by weather and tide.

Cool blues and soft greys move across the sky and water, balanced by warmer sand tones and muted greens along the cliff. Directional, layered brushstrokes create a sense of wind and motion, giving the piece energy while keeping the atmosphere calm and open.
