There are days when the landscape feels almost weightless. The light is softer, the colours more muted, and everything seems to slow for a moment. This painting came from wanting to hold onto that feeling.

As I've worked on the Soft Light series, I've found myself painting less from memory of a place and more from memory of a feeling.

The landscape becomes a way of exploring those quieter moments - when the sky is heavy but the light still finds its way through, reminding us that both can exist at once.
