Held Light is built around that tender moment just before sunset - when the sky shifts into something moody and dramatic, and the fields along the Lough pick up a surprising wash of pink before the shoreline even begins. It’s that in-between time when the light doesn’t simply fall across the landscape but feels as though the land itself is holding it, softening it, keeping it close for a breath longer.

This painting came from one of those evenings when the warmth in the sky felt at odds with the coolness of the air - a quiet, gentle contradiction that stays with you.
