This painting came from one of those evenings when the light seems to stretch a little longer than expected. The colours soften, the landscape quietens, and for a few moments everything feels a little lighter.

Throughout the Soft Light series, I've been drawn to those in-between moments rather than dramatic scenes. They're the ones that often stay with me the longest - a change in the sky, a warmth across the fields, or a feeling that's difficult to put into words but easy to recognise.

I love that people rarely see the same thing in a landscape painting. Some are reminded of a familiar place, while others connect with a memory or simply the feeling it creates. My hope is that this piece leaves room for you to find your own story within it.
